Yes, the steel will get hot to the touch. This allows for the steel to absorb and radiate the heat. Please do not touch the fire pit when having fires.

We highly recommend putting protection between the fire pit and your surface. Especially on a wood deck. The radiant heat from the bottom of the bowl could scorch your wooden surface such as a deck. Small embers may fall out of the drain hole on the bottom and cause loose grass to burn or leave marks in wood. Be careful to properly protect your surface with a fire mat, flagstone or pavers. Use your own judgement and be careful. 

The washers at the bottom of the feet are made from Zinc. While these have a weather proof coating, you may still see some smudging on a smooth surface like concrete or stone. Adding a snuffer lid to your fire pit will greatly reduce any ash or embers falling through the drain hole in event of rain. The snuffer lid will keep your area around the fire pit much cleaner.

With time and use, your fire pit will experience changes. All steel will oxidize, causing a surface rust. However, that will work to protect the steel and extend it’s life. Do not scrape off the oxidized layer on the snuffer lid or fire pit. The thickness of the steel will slow the rusting process and give you years of enjoyment. Some users choose to use a high temperature paint to coat the surface of the fire pit, but that will need to be done every year if you decide to go that route.

The fire pit will slowly get darker with time.

You do not need to keep it covered. A snuffer lid will help to keep outside moisture from damaging the inside of the fire pit.

Yes, we will gladly accept any returns. If the fire pit has already been burned in, then a cleaning fee will be applied. Evergreen Patio will not pay return shipping unless there has been a manufacturing defect.

Thicker Lumber -1” BOARD VS. ¾” BOARD

Poly Lumber is the finest material for outdoor furniture. We use THICK, 1” lumber in most of our poly chair products. Our chairs are made for HEAVY DUTY use, both in commercial and residential applications. The build quality is perfect for docks, patios, fire pits where the furniture can be left outside all year long.

Some assembly is required. An electric drill is required. All chairs come mostly assembled and take less than 10 minutes to put together.

HDPE does not rot, splinter, or need sanding. It is maintenance free!

The life span of HDPE products is not weeks or years, but decades!

Our products are made in the USA! Specifically, they are handmade in Cave Spring, Ga from our family owned business. 

HDPE stands for High Density Polyethylene which is an exceptionally durable plastic that has many uses including: kayaks, playground equipment, underground piping, etc. For outdoor use, it is vastly superior to wood. HDPE is made from recycled plastic.

The color in the poly lumber penetrates all the way through the material.

The weight of poly lumber chair is similar to that of a hardwood chair averaging 40 to 50 Lbs. each. Even in strong winds, the Adirondack chairs will not blow away.

No natural wood fibers. HDPE is a thick, solid material.

HDPE contains pigment enhancers that keeps colors from fading.

Painting is not necessary.

Easiest way is with regular soap and water. Pressure washing is also a good method, although be careful not to get too close to the material.

Stainless steel hardware is used in all poly products to ensure lasting durability.

30 Day return policy. All products accepted back with full refund. Wish to exchange your chairs for a larger size or color? No problem. We will be happy to work with you to get you exactly what you need. All refunds will be issued via direct mail check. If purchased through PayPal, funds will be returned to your PayPal account. The 30 days applies to date furniture received, not ordered. Customers must pay return shipping if the reason for return is other than damage or manufacturing error. Evergreen Patio has discounted shipping rates from UPS, so we suggest contacting us first to save money on returns. UPS pickup is also available. Customers must print the return label and tape it to the outside of the box. UPS will not provide labels on pickups. Refunds will be sent within 24 hours after we receive your items.

If furniture is damaged or has a manufacturing error, Evergreen Patio will pay for return shipping and new products will be sent at no charge.
